We had a great day on Friday celebrating Chinese New Year on Friday.
Some children wore their Chinese clothes. |
Alice showed us how to write in Chinese. |
Evie brought a special Chinese decoration to show us. |
The whole school went to an assembly to see some visitors performing a Lion dance. It was very exciting!
Finally we made paper lanterns and hung them up in the classroom.
They will keep reminding us of Chinese New Year.
Happy Chinese New Year Room 10. I do like your lanterns and great to see some of you in special outfits. I like your red Chinese knot for good luck Evelyn. I have one in yellow!
ReplyDeleteWhat fantastic learning. Maybe you could teach me how to write in Mandarin too?

What a busy week Room 10. Lots of great learning. I loved learning all about the dragon dance - so lots of new learning for me too. Sparkle, sparkle Room 10. Keep on shining.
ReplyDeleteWow! It looks like you have done a lot of learning about Chinese New Year. Great job room 10!
ReplyDeleteI love your colourful lanterns Room 10! This reminds me of how much I love making lanterns! Did you use pastels to colour the lantern?
