Chinese New Year - The Year of the Pig

We had a great day on Friday celebrating Chinese New Year on Friday.
Some children wore their Chinese clothes.
Alice showed us how to write in Chinese.
Evie brought a special Chinese decoration to show us.

The whole school went to an assembly to see some visitors performing a Lion dance. It was very exciting!

Finally we made paper lanterns and hung them up in the classroom.
They will keep reminding us of Chinese New Year.

  5. I love your colourful lanterns Room 10! This reminds me of how much I love making lanterns! Did you use pastels to colour the lantern?
