Chinese New Year - The Year of the Pig

We had a great day on Friday celebrating Chinese New Year on Friday. 

Some children wore their Chinese clothes.

Alice showed us how to write in Chinese.

Evie brought a special Chinese decoration to show us.

                                            

The whole school went to an assembly to see some visitors performing a Lion dance. It was very exciting!

   Finally we made paper lanterns and hung them up in the classroom. 

   They will keep reminding us of Chinese New Year.

Welcome to our new friends.

We have welcomed two new children to our class. Jackson returned from holiday on Thursday and Carina had her very first of school today. It has been great getting to know you both and we love having you in Room 10.
